The short story has also been published in Ellery Queen's Mystery Magazine (US) in 1966 (Vol. 47, No. 2) under the title Poirot and the Broken Mirror.

In addition, the short story has also been published in an earlier and shorter version with only Hercule Poirot as the main character first published in Ladies' Home Journal (US) in 1932 (Volym LIIX, No. 6) under the title The Second Gong.
