The serialisation is first published Collier's Weekly (US) in 1937 between August 28 and October 23: Appointment with Death.

In the UK, the serialisation is first published in Daily Mail in 1938 between January 19 and February 19 under the variant title A Date with Death.

    Published in the US later the same year: American edition.
    NOTE! The first American edition also exists with a specific advance trial jacket.
