ORIGINAL PUBLICATION:

The serialised version of the (detective) novel is first published – prior to the book edition in bth UK and US – in London Evening News (UK) in 1925 between July 16 and September 16 under the variant title: Who Killed Ackroyd?

In the US, the serialised version starts on the same day that the American book edition was published (June 19 in 1926) in Flynn's Weekly and the last instalment of the serialisation is published on July 10 under the same title as the book edition; The Murder of Roger Ackroyd.

    Published in the US later the same year: American edition.

 

Swedish book edition:

1. Hur gåtan löstes 1927 (Holger Schildts Förlag)1
    The first edition in Sweden is also published in a partial edition later that year by Lars Hökerbergs Förlag.
     NOTE! All later book editions is published under the title Dolken från Tunis (1940).
