The short story is first published in The Royal Magazine (UK) in February 1928 (Vol. 59, No. 352): Ingots of Gold.

In the US, the short story is fist published in Detective Story Magazine in 1928 on June 16 (Vol. 102, No. 1) under the variant title The Solving Six and the Golden Grave.

 

Alternative title:

The short story has also been published in Ellery Queen's Mystery Magazine (US) in March 1967 (Vol. 49, No. 3) under the title Miss Marple and the Golden Galleon.
