with illustrations by De Alton Valentine.

In the UK, the short story is first published in The Story-Teller Magazine in April 1930 (Vol. XLVII, No. 276) under the same title.

 

Alternative title:

The short story has also been published in Ellery Queen's Mystery Magazine (US) in 1958 (Vol. 31, No. 3) under the title Someday They Will Get Me.
