The Grey Cells of M. Poirot.     

In the US the short story is first published in The Blue Book Magazine in April 1925 (Vol. 40, No. 6) with an unsigned illustration.

Alternative title:

The short story has also been published under the title Poirot Makes an Investment in Ellery Queen's Mystery Magazine (US) in 1965 (Vol. 45, No. 3).
