In the UK the short story is first published in The Strand Magazine in 1936 (Vol. 91, No. 545) under the title Poirot and the Triangle at Rhodes with illustrations by Jack M. Faulks

The short story has also been published under the title Before It's Too Late in Ellery Queen's Mystery Magazine (US) in 1956 (Vol. 28, No. 6).

In addition the short story has also been published under the title Double Alibi in Suspense (UK) in August 1958 (Vol. 1, No. 1).
